This customer originally called looking to install a central AC system. They scheduled for a free quote but found that what they were initially considering was out of budget. Our salesperson informed the homeowner that if they added a ductless head in the basement they would achieve a more sufficient coverage of the home, AND the job would then qualify for the Con Edison Clean Heat Rebate incentives. This significantly reduced the customers out of pocket expense and got them running on a more efficient, more comfortable, more affordable system for less.

This was a larger project with both Daikin & Mitsubishi Heat Pump Condensers. The Daikin is ducted throughout the home and the Mitsubishi Condenser is paired with a sleek ceiling cassette.

Here we installed a Bosch system, replacing their old fossil fuel system. We also installed new EcoBee thermostats.

Our customer reached out with an emergency no heat/hot water. Our customer opted for a new heat pump system and within a few days had a brand new way to heat their rental home, cash in on the ConEd Rebates and got rid of their fossil fuels all in one shot!

At this customers home we replaced their entire heating system, including their hot water heater. We have 2 outdoor condensers paired with both ducted and non units. 

At this home we used their existing ductwork for a new Daikin system, including a new hot water heater. Their old system will remain in place as back up. 

Where an old oil boiler once stood, is now a new Rheem heat pump hot water heater. This home will now heat & cool using new Mitsubishi outdoor units.

Here a new Daikin unit has replaced an old furnace. The new system will use the existing ductwork to cover the whole homes heating and cooling.

Our client had a workspace/ cottage on their property that was unusable come the winter months and unbearable in the hot summer months. We changed that with a Mitsubishi Ductless system! Their space will now be comfortable all year long. We also added 2 ductless units to their main living space, giving the homeowners more control of their temperature.

Here we show the full process from removal of old insulation, insulation around recessed lighting, the addition of radiant barriers topped with new decking, then the cellulose. We also installed the attic hatch cover. 

Here we took another moldy, poorly insulated attic and turned into a proper storage space that will also keep their home comfortable every season.  Attached is a before/progress photo and the after. SilverGlo applied the new decking, ZyoFoam in all the nooks and crannies, cellulose retention dams all around and new hatch cover!

Dense packing exterior facing walls with cellulose is a method of insulation that is often performed in homes. Dense packing walls helps to keep rooms cool in summer and warm in winter. It also helps to mitigate the energy your home loses. Poorly insulated walls often cause heating and cooling equipment to work harder in order to maintain the desired temperature of the home.

In this particular home, we dense packed the walls from outside by removing the siding and cutting small holes into the walls and blowing the cellulose into the wall with hoses. Once the wall is filled with cellulose, the holes are patched and the siding is replaced, leaving no visual trace of the work that was performed. 

In homes where the siding cannot be removed, dense packing can also be done from inside the home. 

In this home we insulated the attic with cellulose and then installed plywood decking over top to create a storage space. 

In this home we insulated the walls and ceiling using a technique called dense packing. Dense packing the exterior walls and ceilings of your home helps to reduce energy loss in your home and helps your heating and cooling systems run more efficiently. In order to dense pack a wall, we first cover all objects that can't be removed in plastic. Then we drill small 2in holes into the wall and uses hoses to blow in cellulose. Once the walls are filled, the holes are patched. 

In this home we installed a Daikin Heat Pump system using ductless mini-split units. The outdoor condensers were mounted on brackets above the snow line. The indoor ductless mini-splits were mounted on the walls in various rooms of the home. This project was affordable for the customer because of the NYS Clean Heat Program. This particular customer has ConEd as their electric provider, so they were awarded thousands in rebates to convert to a heat pump system. 

In this home we insulated this walk-in attic. We blew in cellulose in the bays of the floor in the attic and then installed and foam board on top and placed plywood on top of the foam board. This allows the attic to be fully walkable and accessible to storage. We also cut and placed foam boards on to the walls in order to prevent cold air from the attic from seeping into the living space. 

In this photo we used a can light cover in order to prevent air from seeping into the attic from the living space via a high hat light fixture. The fixture is covered with a fire-proof cover and the perimeter is air sealed using Zyp Foam. 

In this home the customer had knee walls that were causing them energy loss. To solve this problem we insulated their knee wall spaces with 4in foam board and air sealed the cracks with Zyp Foam.

In this home we installed new insulation in the attic. We removed the old fiberglass insulation and replaced it with cellulose. In some areas of the attic we also installed a foam board topped with plywood to create a walkway so that the home owners could have access to their AC unit and storage space in the attic. We also encapsulated the duct work with Spray Foam in order to keep any air from seeping out of the ducts. 

In this home, we insulated the rim joists in the basement. Most homes with unfinished basements have poorly or uninsulated rim joists. This causes your home to lose efficiency and increases heating and cooling costs. Insulating the rim joists can help make your home more comfortable and lower energy bills.
