Challenge
This customer wasn't ready to make the full switch to clean heat, but wanted to save money on home heating costs.
Solution
Our technicians designed a system where the customer could keep his existing oil boiler but also installed a high-efficiency Mitsubishi heat pump. The heat pump system communicates with the oil boiler through the use of the Mitsubishi Kumo station. The Kumo station acts as a liaison between heat pump and boiler to ensure maximum efficiency of both units. This way, the customer depends less on oil, saving money, while also retaining it as an option. This project total cost was reduced by HALF thanks to the Con Ed Clean Heat Rebate.
